Does Being Short Too Wearisome For You?

By Brent Briceton

Have you come to the point wherein your short height is wearisome for you? If so, then you have to be aware of the plethora of choices there are available for you. But you have to take note of one thing. It is about a claim which tells of stretching exercises to make you taller as they lengthen your bones even after puberty. Well, this is not true and do not be a victim of such scam otherwise you will be reaped off your money and energy.

Why is this so? In order for you to better comprehend the issue, first you have to tackle how the human bones grow. Infant bones are mostly comprised of flexible cartilage, and as the baby grows, his bones solidify into adult bons. During the adolescent period, growth plates located at the end of the longer bones gradually lengthen. As these stop growing, there is nothing more one can do to lengthen it again, save for a surgical procedure.

Needless to say, exercise is not completely useless. Practicing it on a regular basis especially when you are still young benefits you with longer bones as such triggers the release of growth hormones. However, after puberty, exercise still favors you with firm body, making you look thinner and taller.

A well-balanced diet is as much important as exercise in keeping your bones healthy. Ingesting rich sources of amino acids, calories, calcium, and protein help keep your bones strong, preventing you from having a weakened or shrinking bone as you get older.

Apart from those mentioned, other ways to make you appear taller is by the way you dress, the way you wear your hair and the shoes you're wearing. Darker colors naturally make you slimmer giving accent to your waistline, while high heel shoes apparently add more height to you. Similarly, a shorter hair will give that longer neck look, in turn creating an appeal of a taller you. - 29951
