How I Learned How to Dunk a Basketball

By Ryan Lacioca

I'm about to share my story, as I am absolutely certain that there are loads of you out there who have experienced what I have been through, imagining the day you would finally be able to put down a nice, powerful dunk on the basketball court.

All that I can tell you is that I was exactly like you not too long ago. Everything changed about two years back, which I'm going to get to in a second. First, let me offer you a little background info regarding me. I'm Blake, I'm five foot nine, and I consider myself a relatively respectable athlete.

As a kid, basketball was always my #1 sport, and I sought zero further than to discover how to dunk. I would watch the slam dunk contest on TV every season, dunk on the Nerf basketball hoop in my bedroom, and if YouTube had existed back then, I could just about assure you that I might have been on it each day, witnessing highlights as often as possible.

Anyhow, I was on my high school basketball team. I was consistently a reliable player, one of the more skilled ones on my team, although I was constantly striving to dunk the ball, but was unable to. It was a mixture of my stature and the fact that my leg muscles (and several additional things that I'd afterward learn about) were not muscular enough, and I had how to dunk a basketball.

I finally let up on figuring out how to dunk a basketball. It was not the end of the world, but it was kind of upsetting. Well, at least I was, nonetheless, a great basketball player.

To sum up what happened next, a few more years elapsed after high school, and one day I ran into an old buddy named James. He was at least two inches shorter than me, and I watched him dunk right in front of my very eyes. I was literally stunned!

James proceeded to introduce me to a training course that changed the way I play the game. I now know how to dunk...and I can dunk with style. - 29951
